Lupine felt that we were the natural choices for our ability to get to and photograph at remote locations, as well as keeping a artistic point of view while supporting the goal of Lupine in that the proceeds were going to be used for a charity. boots, saddles, spurs, and wildness of our heritage slip deeper into our past, I anticipate reintroducing today's man to the rugged, self-reliance of his ancestors and to ignite the spark of freedom and adventure that was once found under the open sky. Pixel Eight is excited to bring this classic genre to life in an entirely new style and scope. I wrote Sancho in 2004 while living in London. Living so far away I watched western films to remain connected with my southwestern roots. These films sparked my imagination and soon the idea of createing a animated western became my dream. My working title,Sancho, stems from a character in of one of the Sergio Leone films. He is credited with altering how westerns film are seen and heard throughout the later quater of the 20th century. To kickstart this project and generate interest I have several limited edition prints of Sancho. As demonstrated in the prints the look of Sancho will be based on real life objects, places and people that I have encountered throughout my experiences. Each have unique qualities that lend themselfs to imaginative treatment. These images can be viewed at Su Vino Winery through 16 March 2010.
